Weekly Update

Welcome new and familiar. All you need for this week is right here.
This page is the most up-to-date form of communication we have.
Let's get you connected with the things you need.
Hello North Point Church,

I want to share some exciting news with you about some changes that will be coming at North Point Church. With increased attendance on Sunday mornings, our North Point family has been growing not only in numbers but also in our impact upon people's lives with the gospel message and our community's spiritual growth. This is something that our Session has noted many months ago and has been discussing. In late Spring, the Session established a Worship Exploratory Team that included a committed group of individuals representing many different ministry areas of North Point Church. The team has been meeting regularly, developed a 'worship survey' which was wildly successful in its return rate, and has been in a time of prayer and discernment. The team has reviewed those results and based on your feedback there was overwhelming support for a second service.

The Session met last week to review and discuss their recommendations. We have decided to move forward with establishing a second Sunday morning worship service. The specific details are still being finalized and we are in the process of reaching out to our Ministry Team Leaders at North Point to discuss how two Sunday worship services will affect those different areas of our ministry.
A representative from the Worship Exploratory Team will review the results of the congregational survey for you in worship on September 7th. Furthermore, after worship on September 21st, you are invited to a Town Hall meeting where the Session and Exploratory Team can answer any questions and delve further into our discernment process. You will have an opportunity to submit any questions prior to the meeting in writing via a question box in the church entryway between September 7 and 21, online here or in person during the Town Hall meeting.

We would ask that you be in prayer for North Point Church during this season of growth and change. We trust that you will step up to serve our church family with these changes as the Holy Spirit faithfully guides us. As always, I am available to answer any of your questions.

Blessings,
Pastor Rob
