Serve

For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve...

Mark 10:45

Below are a few year round or seasonal service areas that support the daily and weekly activities at at North Point. Is there another way that you would like to serve? Let us know at info@np-church.org.

NK High School Lunches/Jesus Food Our NK High School Student Lunch, lovingly dubbed "Jesus Food" by the kids, is served by North Point Church and community volunteers, eight Mondays during the school year. Our spring lunch dates will be announced in early 2026. Jill Godschall  is welcoming all to make cookies and/or volunteer to help cook, serve and clean at lunches! Feel free to contact her with any questions. Please check our weekly emails for our lunch dates.

Sunday School Sunday School Teachers We are looking for Sunday School teachers to join our weekly rotation! If you love kids, are creative, and have a passion for children's ministry (or want to learn!), we need you! All grade levels are available. Email Angel for more information.

NPC Students (Youth) We are always looking for volunteers to help with youth group and activities, or to make meals or desserts for Monday nights. Email Anna for more information.

Visitor Ministry Team We are looking for volunteers to help with our Sunday Morning Visitor Ministry. These roles include greeters, passing out bulletins, ushers (helping visitors find seating), and helping with the offering. The visitor ministry is a fun way to get to know others and serve our church community. We welcome volunteers who can work one (or more) Sunday(s) a month. If you are wanting to be involved in a ministry at North Point but don't have lots of time, this is a great one to choose! Email Alane for more information.

Sunday Morning Coffee Team. Our Coffee Team needs you! Now that we have 2 services it takes a larger team to serve coffee and donuts. We need volunteers with a heart for service and a nice smile to set up coffee and other hot beverages and donuts and other volunteers to serve and clean up after the second service. This is a once a month (or more) commitment and is a great way to keep our staff, volunteers and guests happy before and after the service. You may be asked to serve at special events. Please contact Pam Caudle.

Facilities and Maintenance Our facilities and maintenance team, also known as the LUGGS (Legion of Useful Guys and Gals) work together to take care of the church buildings and campus. Please contact Tom Curran to join the LUGGS team.

Fellowship and Hospitality The fellowship team makes sure there are lunches for special events and membership classes, organizes the annual church picnic, the chili cooks off, soup lunch. In addition they help with receptions for memorials and weddings. A sub team under the fellowship team prepares Sunday morning coffee. Please contact Alane  if you are interested in serving with the Fellowship Team.

Sanctuary Preparation  There are many behind the scenes tasks that go into preparing the sanctuary for service on Sunday. We can always use help with these weekly chores and welcome you to join us. Please contact Lani for more information.

The Church Emergency Response Team (CERT) is looking for volunteers! CERT members are responsible for responding to and recovering from various emergencies such as injuries, illness, or security related matters. Their duties include coordinating evacuations, providing first aid, and communicating with emergency services. If you have a heart for safety and a desire to ensure the well-being of the congregation please contact Allen Timms at atimms2004@yahoo.com or fill out a contact card so someone can reach out to you.

Worship Ministry
North Point Worship Ministry supports and encourages those who attend services and special events to experience the presence of God, giving each one an opportunity to express their praise and respond to His great love and mercy.

If you would like to join us in fulfilling our vision, check out the various ways you might serve with us. We provide training and support for everyone involved. Plus, it’s just plain fun to be a part of what God is doing through music, drama, and Communications Ministries.  We hope you wil want to learn more about joining this ministry, please contact Mike if you are interested.

North Point Choir
Love to sing? Enjoy joining with others to make music that inspires, comforts, and encourages others to know God and His great love? Well, I encourage you to become part of our musical community. Our members range in experience from music majors to first time singers. Our worship teams are drawn from the choir, and there are no auditions for either the Choir nor to participate on a worship team. All are welcome to sing joyfully to the Lord, and make music to His glorious name. We rehearse each Wednesday from 5:30-7:00 PM.

North Point Drama
Drama plays such an important part in how God communicates His heart in scripture that it only makes sense that we use this tool to illustrate His Word and demonstrate His love. If you would like to be involved in dramatic readings, skits, simple vignettes or full blown plays, please let me know of your interest. We rehearse as needed for each specific presentation, so can we remain flexible with your schedule.

Communications Ministry- Sound, Video and Graphics
Are you tech savvy or just like pushing buttons and sliding sliders? Our Communications Ministry team makes sure we look and sound great on Sunday mornings, our online Service Videos, and for special events. Contact Neil to get involved.

True North is a Youth Choir for students in 6th-12th grade
We hone our singing skills and practice a variety of musical styles. The purpose of True North is to share our songs of faith at North Point and also to the community, always pointing to our True North, Jesus Christ. No previous experience is necessary-we provide the training and fun. People in the community are also welcome to join. Interested? Contact the director, Elaine Hanson.
